Final Plans for Picnic & Memorial Hike

Hi everyone! Hope you've had a great summer, and been successful at staying cool as possible.

Well, September 24 will be her in 10 days, so we thought it would be good to post some final instructions and information for the Fogg Brother's Memorial Picnic and Hike.

Luckily, Brad Fogg swooped into town this past weekend, and on his way back to California, sister Kris followed him down to Levan so they could check some things out. As they tried to find the spot where Brad hiked from many years ago, it has changed considerably, although we're hoping through GPS coordinates we'll know basically where to go.

Before the hike, we'd like everyone to meet at the Levan City Hall, at 12 Noon. Kris said you can get to Levan by taking the Nephi exit, #222, and then follow the signs to Levan. The City Hall shares the parking lot with the only church in town on Main St., so look for the steeple. The actual address is: Levan City Hall, 20 N Main St., Levan. Kris was able to get the city hall for the day, and it has an area where we can have lunch, visit, share some memories of Bill & Rick, and get to know each other a little bit better before the hike.

Wanting to keep the lunch easy, barbecue beef, hot dogs, salads, drinks and water, will be provided. What we'd like you to do if you haven't been contacted to bring one of the above items, is bring a pot luck item of your choice, some ideas being; chips, olives/pickles, desserts, treats/snacks, fruit, etc., so we all can share.

Brad and Kris said it is a beautiful area down on the mountainside, and of course, those that want can go along on the hike. We have something special we want to leave there. Please remember to wear some dependable hiking shoes/boots, and you may want a long sleeve shirt. If you aren't able to hike, you can either ride up the canyon and just hang out, or just stay at the city hall until we finish.

Should be a wonderful day. I keep thinking the boys would probably feel embarrassed that we're making a fuss over them, but I'm also sure that they would be overjoyed to see their dear family and friends remembering them in this way. We want this to be a happy, positive event.
